As an orchestral violist, I had never been comfortable playing in my tails and never felt I could play at my best because of it. The PenQuin tails have been a major upgrade. The flexibility of the fabric and the folds in the back really improve the freedom and mobility of the shoulders, so it feels much closer to playing in plain clothes.

I always found the padding on Frack jackets to be too bulky and the fabric itself not stretchy enough for what i needed as a violinist. The Frack [Tailcoat] of PenQuin is flexible, not bulky, allows for great transpiration and the innovative design of the back of the jacket allows for a much wider range of movement. To all my fellow violinists i would recommend to give it a try, it really makes a great difference :)

I got a size 48 (im a US 32" waist) and I'm super happy with the fit. I was worried the fabric was too heavy but have played a number of outdoor concerts in high heat and humidity and have not felt like the pants made me hotter!! They have a slim tailored look but give when you go to sit down and play. (I play trumpet). Great value for the money.
